As we approach the end of this current term, there are a few things we would like to bring to your attention.
The cost for the next 14-week course is as follows:
The new term will run from:
W/c Saturday 6th – Wednesday 10th September to W/c Saturday 6th – Wednesday 10th December.
We will run as usual through half term: w/c Monday 27th October and the weekends on either side.
From September we will be introducing a new member of staff. Tahira will be joining us and we are sure she will be an asset to the team. She will assist on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Jan will now work only weekends, and Zara will be taking over her Monday classes. Shannon will continue working on the opposite side of the pool.
Unfortunately, Leila will be leaving us at the end of this term.
During the October half term, we will be running a crash course. If this would be of interest to you, please register your interest either at the desk or on the work phone: 07305 285575.
If your child is late for their lesson, please encourage them to make themselves known to the instructor before entering the pool. This is for their safety.
The pool building is now a no phone zone. During watching weeks (or at any time within the pool building), if you need to use your phone to make/take a call or send/read a message, please step outside.
Phones should be kept out of sight in a bag or pocket while in the pool building. At no time should photos or videos be taken. This is in line with our child protection policy.
We’ve been informed by the school that cigarette butts have been found in the playground area. Please note: the school grounds are a strict no smoking area. Non-compliance puts the swim school at risk.
The playground immediately outside the pool building has limited space. If there are spaces available in the outer car park, please use those and walk through. Limited parking has led to damage to posts and buildings, which again puts our future use of this area at risk.
Over the next couple of weeks, pupils will be working toward awards within the level of their class. If you would like to purchase certificates, please visit the desk (after enrolment week). Certificates must be paid for in advance as we print them to order.
Cost of a badge and certificate: £3.50
Please check the website for up-to-date information including:
The last week of term is Fun Week. Your child may attend any of the sessions listed below on the half hour. No pupil may join partway through a session. Maximum bather load is 35 – once reached, pupils will need to wait for the next session (this rarely happens).
Note: the earliest times tend to be the busiest.
May I take this opportunity, on behalf of all the staff, to wish you a lovely summer break. We look forward to seeing you next term.
Best wishes,
Anne
